Nagai Naokiyo became lord of the castle in 1633 and attempted to reconstruct it, but the castle was decommissioned when he was moved to Settsu province in 1649.

Field Notes

Much of the Honmaru and Numatamaru are preserved in close to their original state. The reconstructed walls give you some sense of what it was like but the community center on the grounds that is meant to look like a castle structure actually makes the reconstruction of the castle look a little bit more grand than it likely was. Close to the station, this castle is worth stopping at if you are in the area.
