Not much here. I located a trench and the main bailey, as well as a signpost for the castle ruin.
History
Takasujō was built as a "Heitan Kichi", or "Supply Base" (Heitan = Military Logistics; Kichi = Military Base), for the southern border of Ogasawara territory during the Sengoku Period. Beyond here the valley closes shut and there is a mountaintous natural border shutting out the Suwa Valley, so Takasujō would've functioned as a sort of checkpoint or interim base between the Ogasawara's main bases at Fukushijō (Matsumoto Castle) and Hayashiohjo, and their southerly stronghold at Nishijo Castle.
Field Notes
Not much here. I located a trench and the main bailey, as well as a signpost for the castle ruin.
