I could identify no ruins; only the temple remains.
History
Built as a yakata of the Nishina, this yakata was associated particularly with the clan's Shibutami branch. After 1582 the site was taken over by the temple Chōshōin. An Edo Period map showed to me by the monk at Tenshōji indicates that the yakata had a square mizubori (water moat) and that this was retained by the temple. It no longer remains, however. During the Meiji Revolution anti-Buddhist purges damaged the temple and the Rokkakudō (hexagonal prayer hall) was lost. All temple structures are modern.
Field Notes
I could identify no ruins; only the temple remains.
