History
Kagami-yakata was a fortified manor hall constructed by Kagami Tômitsu, the third son of Henmi Kiyomitsu of the third generation of the Kai-Genji Clan. Kagami Tômitsu would also found the Akiyama and Ogasawara clans. Kagami Tômitsu fought for Minamoto Yoritomo, the founder of the Kamakura Shogunate, from 1180.
