History
Nomura Castle was built as a satellite castle of Kuroi Castle by Nomura Ienaga in the early 16th century. Successive castellans were Nomura Iehisa and Nomura Arihisa. It is thought that the castle was destroyed during Akechi Mitsuhide’s conquest of Tanba in 1579.
