Very little to see at this one unfortunately, although I identified some trench work. Most of the site is now farmland.

History

Inamurajō was built to replace an earlier castle at a nearby site now called Inamurafurujō. It was built by the Inamura Clan who controlled the area. The Inamura would later co-operate with Takeda Shingen in his invasion of Ina. Built at a frond-like protrusion of the cliffline into the valley, the castle consisted of two baileys protected by natural elevation, karabori (dry moats) and tatebori (climbing moats). Opposite to Inamurajō across the protruding peninsula of cliff was Inamurafurujō.
