This is the entranceway to the Honmaru Palace. After the Meiji Restoration it was used as the entranceway to an elementary school until it was relocation near the Honmaru Gomon Gate for preservation. It's a bit hard to see through the tree but there is a huge, ornate Karahafu Gable on the roof here above the entrance.
