I found (the remains of) a karabori (dry moat) and a tatebori (climbing moat) around what was presumably the main enclosure of the fort. Some deformed dorui (earthen ramparts) can be found. The site is now a forest.
History
This clifftop castle ruin overlooking the alluvial plain in the Ina Valley dates to the Early Kamakura Period. It was a fortified residence enclosed by heaped up earthen embankments and dry moats. The layout was a simply square situated at the corner of a cliffline.
