History
Nakamura-yashiki is historical Yatsushiro County was a rōnin yashiki (fortified residence). It is said that Nakamura Ichirawēmon lived here before surrendering his bushi status and reverting to farming after 1582. Some estimates based on the road layout put the size of the residence as about 200m in an irregular oblong shape on its longest side, but this seems too large considering the Nakamura's low status.
