Of all the forts on this trip, Zenshoji Fort was probably the most interesting. The park is well defined with good views. It is roughly along the same hillside or ridge as Narumi Castle and may be the closest fort to the former castle.

History

Zenshoji Fort was one of the forts (including Tange Fort and Nakajima Fort built by Oda Nobunaga to contain the Imagawa at Narumi Castle. Nobunaga launched his attack on Imagawa's vanguard from here.
