History

It is thought that before the Nishimaki Clan built their main fortified residence at Ota Yakata, they had one here at Nakamura-yakata. The Nishimaki Clan were at this time considered to be an illigitimate off-shoot of the Shigeno Clan. Nothing remains but the yakata was located on a clifftop.

Field Notes

The site is fields and houses today.
