I actually didn't know much about this castle but I had a little extra time in Nagoya and dropped by on a whim after seeing it on a map. Without any background, this castle site was quite a pleasant surprise. It is small, but well maintained and signposted and turned out to be the highlight of the day.

The Oda Nobuhide expanded his influence the Kondo allied with the Oda but after Nobuhide's they switched to the Imagawa.

History

Kutsukake Castle was likely built around 1394-1428 but the founder is not clear.
