There isn't much to see here, but visiting these forts are part of the experience for visiting Odaka Castle. Washizu Fort should be visited with Odaka Castle and Marune Fort. See these other pages for more details.

History

Washizu Fort was one of the main forts built around Odaka Castle to contain the Imagawa. In particular, it could block the road to Narumi Castle. The forts themselves had relatively few defenders and were easily defeated by the overwhelming forces of Matsudaira Motoyasu (Tokugawa Ieyasu) at the Battle of Okehazama
