Nakajima Fort was one of the forts built to enclose Narumi Castle. Today, it just looks like a corner of someone's garden, but we appreciate the owners letting people in to take photos of the pillar at least.

History

Nakajima Fort was built along with Tange Fort and Zenshoji Fort to control the supply lines into Narumi Castle before the Battle of Okehazama. IN particular Nakajima Fort is at the confluence of two rivers to control the water routes. Oda Nobunaga passed though Nakajima fort after leaving Zenshoji Fort on his way to the battle.
