The castle was also said to have been occupied by the Yamana clan ( different from Yamana Sozen's Yamana Clan), but it was definitely the Tsume-no-shiro. or last redoubt, of the Kibe Clan who allied first with Takeda Shingen and then the Hojo after Shingen's passing.

History

Yamana Castle was built as a satellite castle of Teraonaka Castle and it was also known as Teraoshimo Castle indicating the location in respect to Teraonaka Castle. The castle was also said to have been occupied by the Yamana clan ( different from Yamana Sozen's Yamana Clan), but it was definitely the Tsume-no-shiro. or last redoubt, of the Kibe Clan who allied first with Takeda Shingen and then the Hojo after Shingen's passing.
