|History=The history of this castle is not clear.  It may have been a castle of a Mochizuki branch family. Along with [[Mochizuki Castle (Koka)|Mochizuki Castle]] and [[Shingu Castle (Koka)|Shingu Castle]], Murasame Castle is one of the more well developed castles in terms of size and design including a small masugata style box entrance. These castles may have helped to hide Rokkaku Yoshikata when he fled Nobunaga. See [[Koka Castles]] for more details.
