I photographed the site from below. The terracing, which supports rice paddies, looks very modern.
History
Horinōchi-yakata was an earlier residence of the Sawazoko Clan, or a branch residence of their main compound, the Sawazokohorinōchi-yakata. For more info’ see: Sawazoko Horinouchi Yakata.
