The stone walls were made for shoring up rice paddies and for a temple which existed on the site subsequent to the fort, and do not date to the medieval era, though some parts do look quite old. Just to the north of the site is a shrine called the Tōnosu-shinmeigū. I saw a monkey here; I don't know what it was up to. There is an old cenotaph, a small hōkyōintō stele, located 200m northeast of the proposed fort site, for the former castle lord.
