Field Notes
The road from the bus stop side of the ridge was closed for some kind of construction (first photo above). There is a side road that travels the other side of this ridge but it was quite a long walk to connect to the other road up to the castle ruins. The school that sits on the top of the ridge, where the honmaru bailey once was, also did not look inviting to foreigners wandering through to get across to the ruins. Apparently there is a nice view of the valley which looks especially good when the terraced rice fields are all green. I may try again sometime, but there really aren't any ruins to make the trip worthwhile.
