Asama Yakata
The former site of the fortified manor house of the Akazawa Clan is now a school; there is nothing to see. This site connects historically to several castle sites: Shinano Chausuyama Castle, Hayaotoshi Castle, and possibly Yokoyairi Fort.
History
Akazawa-yakata was the fortified manor house of the Akazawa Clan. It was located near to Chausuyamajō which would offer a place to retreat to and defend from should the yakata come under attack. The Akazawa Clan would later relocate to Shinagurajō, which is set much further up in the valley.
