Description The Fujimi Yagura is a watchtower situated along the edge of one of the moats protecting the honmaru. After the original main keep burned down the Tokugawa used this as a main keep. It is said that this yagura was in a good position for the shogun to view Mt. Fuji (thus the name) and the Sumidagawa fireworks.

This picture is taken from near the imperial palace on January 2 when the grounds are open for the emperor's New Year's greetings.
