Why I’m Asking for Support[edit]

Why This Site Matters[edit]
When I launched Jcastle over 25 years ago, there were few resources on Japanese castles, even in Japanese, and virtually none in English. Today, this collection of profiles, photos, and articles has grown into a full blown encyclopedia - a Jcastlepedia — a one-of-a-kind reference, even compared to many Japanese sites.
I maintain this project purely out of love for the topic and the community of castle explorers it has brought together. I don’t make a profit from these links — they simply help to offset the growing costs of keeping this resource alive and freely accessible.
