- 08:55, 24 May 2025 ART talk contribs posted a new comment on Kuroi Castle (Tanba-Kuroijō is a mountaintop castle that has many kuruwa (baileys) and ishigaki (stone-piled rampart) segments. The climb is invigorating, and I marched up, bamboo stick in hand, with my bell jingling, the very picture of a healthy adventurer. At one point a young athlete ran straight past me. Well, running isn't for everyone! It takes between twenty to forty minutes to hike up, depending on one's ability, and proper footwear is strongly advised. The ruins and views at the top are worth it....)
