File:Suwahara9.jpg | This is the large round umadashi style gate entrance outside the bridge and entrance in the previous picture. An Umadashi is a round half moon shaped moat around the outside of an entrance with narrow paths at the top and bottom. Similar to a masugata, it protects the entranceway of a castle. It's shape is easily defended by defenders lining the walls or hiding inside of the gate. You can also bottle up attackers here as they try to cross the narrow entranceway between the 2 moats. | Round Umadashi Entrance | 9 | 34.81871, 138.11835 | false |
