Yokoyama Castle (Chikuma)
From Jcastle.info

Nothing remains to see of the fortification itself. I wouldn't have come here except it is right next to Akagi-kitajō, the ruins of a medieval castle. It was interesting to ponder what the ancient site might've been like.
History
The Yokoyamajō archaelogical site marks the ruins, now buried, of a Yayoi Period fortification. In a depression next to the lone marker indicating the site is a small river with rice paddies. There have been rice paddies here for two millenia!
