Background

This was probably one of the most convenient quarries since the mountain drops fairly quickly right down to the port on the coast of Usami. There is also very little remaining, any leavings cut from stones. There are a few, probably broken stones or mistakes, that were left behind and some of them have been kindly signposted. Compared to something like the Heda or Yatoiri Quarry that are in earlier stages of being quarried, this site has been nearly quarried out of all the readily accessible. On the other hand, that shows this unique view of how a big chunk of the mountain has been carved out for stone.
