Saijozan Jinba
Saijozan-jinba is a hilltop jinba (fortified encampment) site overlooking Iwano village in Matsushiro Township, Nagano Municipality. History
According to folklore, the mount is named 'Saijozan' because Uesugi Kenshin weeped in longing for his mistress whilst encamped. The encampment probably was referred to by another appellation at the time, and was probably named something like 'Uesugi Main Camp', but in any case it seems that the name 'Saijozan' predates the battle.
