History

Hokkyū-jin'ya was founded in 1651 by Ishikawa Fusauji, a hatamoto, to administer the township of Hokkyū. Hokkyū was valued at 3,000 koku, but Lord Fusauji's holdings later increased to 4,000 koku. The jin'ya functioned until the abolition of feudalism in the Meiji period.
