Description	The Shimizumon Gate remains were badly damaged in the 2011 Great East Japan Earthquake, with the outer corner becoming deformed among other issues. The remains had previously been damaged in earthquakes in 1964, 1973 and 2004. (April 2025, by Anne McL)
