Field Notes

Nakagaitofuru-yashiki is a fortified residence site in Nakagaito Township, Toyota Municipality. Since the site is now a private residence, I approached from behind where there is a temple, Tokusanji, with an open area adjacent. From here one can see the ishigaki (stone-piled ramparts) which surround the residence site. Due to the limited access I only saw a part of the site, but the ishigaki looked very handsome.
