Omi Yakata
From Jcastle.info
Nothing remains today and the site is now fields and homesteads, although I did find a beat-up marker to indicate the site.
History
The medieval fortified manor house of the Omi Clan was located here at the foot of the mountain which contains the sites of yamajiro (mountain castles), Omifurujō and Omijō. The residence was built before the castles. Yamajiro were constructed toward the Sengoku Period when the political situation destabilised, forcing barons to protect themselves with additional fortifications.
