Shibayama Castle (Omi)
Shibayamajō is a yamajiro (hilltop fort) site in Odani Township, Nagahama Municipality. No ruins remain, and the site is now a cemetery. I identified this site from above whilst climbing to nearby Yōnoyamajō.

History
Shibayamajō was a satellite fortification of Yōnoyamajō on the peak above. It's not clear to me if it was built by Azai Sukemasa alongside Yōnoyamajō in 1513, or built in response to the siege of Odanijō by Oda Nobunaga from 1572 as extra fortification. Now the Kamiyamada-Yōkaichi Road runs between Shibayamajō and Yōnoyamajō, but originally the two hills may have been connected by a low-lying ridge or knoll.
