History
Takenoya-jin'ya was constructed by hatamoto (bannerman) Takemoto Masatsuna in 1718. The tenryō (Shogunal holding) governed from the jin'ya was a small fief worth only 2,000 koku, of which half was under the oversight of a single family, the Suzuki, who had the inherited position of deputy governors.
