Ushiku Jinya

From Jcastle.info

There really sin't much to see here and there are no signs pointing it out. I did some research from other blogs and on maps to find it. Supposedly there is a surviving trench somewhere as well but I was not able to identify it.

History

The Ushiku Domain was established in 1669 and a Jinya was built on this site along the bank of the Ushiku Swamp, just to the northwest of where Ushiku Castle stood. The domain and jinya remained until the end of the Edo Period.

click here for a good illustration of what the castle may have looked like.
