This is a relatively small jin'ya but with a masugata main gate and high stone walls, it is more like a castle in miniature, just without the main keep. Highly recommended site to visit if you are in the area.

In 1689 Matsudaira Nobunari received additional land holdings and was elevated to daimyo status establishing the Ojima Province. His (adopted) son Nobuhara build Ojima Jin'ya. The castle was dismantled in the Meiji Period and some buildings were repurposed but most were destroyed.
