I visited Hiroshima Castle about 20 years ago, and found the main keep quite disappointing, though it does look nice from outside, especially from a distance. Reading about it now, the other buildings that have been reconstructed in wood sound much more interesting--don't know why I didn't pay much attention to them back then.
