Kariyajō Tatsumi-yagura / Myōfukuji Rōmon (Hekinan, Aichi) 刈谷城移築辰巳櫓・妙福寺楼門 [愛知県碧南市]
It is said that the Tatsumi-yagura (southeast keep) from Kariya Castle was repurposed as the rōmon (pavilion gate) at Myōfukuji, a temple in downtown Hekinan. It seems to me that mostly only the roof was preserved, with the upper tier being perhaps heavily modified, and the lower tier being unrecognisable, and indeed now a gateway rather than a stalwart turret. The gatehouse's roof finial tiles show the Tachiaoi kamon (standing hollyhock crest) of the Honda Clan, one of the castellan clans of Kariyajō. The Honda ruled before 1734 when the Doi Clan took over, so did the yagura date to before that time too? Possibly the rooftiles were changed by the Honda but not by the Doi. There are no shachihoko on the roof, which we would suppose there were, so those were also presumably lost at some point.
